Now this is quite an impressive accomplishment. A teenager was just accepted into 12 colleges including 8 Ivy League schools.
Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna applied to 12 schools this spring and it looks like the school admission departments liked what they saw, considering all 12 accepted her.
This list includes Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, Cornell, University of Pennsylvania, Brown, and Columbia. In addition the “Ivy Leagues” she also was accepted into John Hopkins, MIT, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and New York University.
She has until May to make her big decision.

So what makes Augusta so special? Well, outside of her weighted GPA of 101.64, she was a finalist in the 2016 Intel Science Talent Search and was accepted to the White House Science Fair, CNN reports.
She said in a press release:
I am humbled by all of the college acceptance letters that I recently received. I am reminded that I have a responsibility to be a role model for others and use my experiences to encourage and inspire others, especially young women.
Augusta isn’t the first person to achieve this remarkable feat. Just last year, at least 8 students were accepted into all Ivy League schools. Business Insider reports that Harvard was the most popular choice for these kids. In fact, 80% of all students who are accepted to Harvard wind up attending.
Congratulations to Augusta, her teachers, and parents for this great accomplishment.
