This Bride’s Maid Of Honor Wore A T-Rex Costume To The Wedding
This might be the best "bridesmaid's dress" we've ever seen!
As anyone who has ever suffered through wearing an absolutely awful bridesmaid dress can tell you, when the bride says you’re free to choose your own attire, it’s a dream come true. Likewise, when Christina Meador’s sister, Deanna Adams, told her she could wear anything she wanted as maid of honor in her wedding, Meador decided to take the bride’s directive literally.
Rather than donning a dress, Meador wore a T-Rex costume to the nuptials. Luckily for all of us, she made sure to memorialize the moment on Facebook, sharing a photo that showcased her unconventional attire at the ceremony. The post has since gone viral, racking up more than 6,000 reactions, more than 36,000 shares and more than 18,000 comments:
“When you’re maid of honor and told you can wear anything you choose…I regret nothing,” she wrote alongside the photo.
Well. Seeing a dinosaur bearing a bouquet as it stands next to the beautiful bride on her big day is certainly a sight to behold.
“I was trying to think of something that I would be willing to wear more than once and thought to myself, ‘Well, she did say anything, and if I’m spending more than $50, I want it to be a dinosaur costume, because they’re fantastic and I’ve always wanted one,'” Meador told The Daily Mail of how she came up with the idea to wear the kooky costume.
Luckily, her sister meant what she said and was totally OK with the silly look. In fact, when some people left negative comments on the post, she came to her maid of honor’s defense.
“It’s not a joke, it’s a giant middle finger at spending thousands of dollars and putting ungodly amounts of pressure on ourselves just to please a bunch of people who, in the end, only want free food and drinks,” she wrote in the comments. “The point was to get married to the man who treats me like I hung on the moon, and we did that part. My sister is awesome and I genuinely was not kidding when I said she could wear whatever she wanted.”
We love this laid-back bride, but her sister? She’s our hero.
