Twin Sisters Delivered Their Babies On The Same Day

Twins have this uncanny way of sharing things throughout their lives. Fraternal twin sisters, Danielle Grant and Kim Abraham, took sharing to a whole new level when they delivered their new babies on the same day!

A Total Coincidence To Start

The sisters did not intend to start their families at the same time. Fate just seemed to decide for the pair.

“Total coincidence,” Grant told her local New Jersey paper, the Asbury Park Press. “We both wanted babies, but we didn’t think we would get pregnant the same time. This was not planned.”

That didn’t mean the news shocked them when they found out.

“We laughed because we always thought it would happen, and then it actually did,” said Grant. “It’s really cool.”

As their pregnancies progressed, both Grant and Abraham discovered the similarities would just keep coming. At their co-gender reveal party, the sisters happily discovered they would both have boys.

When it came to the actual delivery day, though, the sisters stepped in to make sure the perfect ending would happen, if at all possible.

Moms Give Sons Same Birthday

Even though both moms-to-be had the same due date—April 22—their sons decided to take their time. Ultimately, Grant and Abraham decided they wanted their sons to share the same birthday. So, when they had to pick an induction date, of course they settled on the same day: April 28.

The 32-year-old sisters gave birth separated only by one hospital room. Grant gave birth to eight-pound, 12-ounce Roman at 11:42 a.m. A few hours later, Abraham delivered nine-pound, 12-ounce Aaron at 3:21 p.m.

What Are The Chances For Twins Sharing Delivery Dates?

Both mom and babies are doing fine. The new moms marvel at the amount of love and support shown from family, friends and even strangers.

“We were like, ‘What are the chances of us actually having them on the same day?'” Abraham told the Today Show. “It’s such a great way to bring a baby into this world. The well wishes and happiness from strangers is just unbelievable.”

How rare is this double birth by twins? A mathematician said the odds of twins giving birth on the same day is about eight in 100,000.

The families plan to throw co-birthday celebrations as the boys get older. And both moms admit they plan to dress the babies alike, even though they are cousins.

“We’ll dress them in the same outfit,” Grant said to the Asbury Park Press. “We were dressed alike but in different colors growing up, so we’re going to torture them like that, too.”

This Couple Shocked Everyone With An Epic Surprise At Their Gender Reveal Party

Gender reveal parties are always so exciting. Anticipation is high, and no matter how you decide to reveal the sex of the baby, you know your friends and family are going to be absolutely elated. That only adds to the fun of it!

Of course, everyone’s expecting to find out the baby’s gender, that’s the whole point of gathering everyone together, after all. But, are folks expecting to receive another surprise while they’re there? Definitely not.

So, man, oh man, did this couple surprise their guests or what?! According to Little Things, Brittany and Timothy had been married for about two years before learning they were pregnant. They waited to announce the sex of the baby, and decided to do so in a special way.

They gathered friends and family together for a gender reveal party, and thankfully, the event was caught on video. The guests had no idea just how big of a surprise the couple had in store. Brittany and Timothy decided to use balloons as a way of announcing the gender. Blue for a boy, of course, and pink for a girl.

They opened up a box and revealed blue balloons. Friends and family cheered, and Timothy stepped in to thank everyone for being there to celebrate with them.

“Thank you for coming from so far away,” he said. “And I think this is probably the best way to say it…”

Then he started to unzip his jacket to reveal his T-shirt.

The shirt read: “Real Men Make Twins.”

The crowd started screaming in surprise, and immediately another box was brought out. The couple opened it up to unleash pink balloons this time around. One of each for this couple! They really couldn’t have planned a better way to share the news with their loved ones.

The babies will arrive in May 2017. Congratulations are definitely in order for this growing family!

Meet The Couple Who Had Two Babies Five Weeks Apart

When college-sweethearts Nancy and Justin Rohde decided to get married, they anticipated a life full of love and children. Three years later they realized their dream of starting a family together was going to be difficult, even hopeless.

They tried multiple rounds of IVF, but each one failed. They hired a surrogate who sadly miscarried. They tried IVF again, but to no avail.

Then, in August 2015 the couple found a new surrogate—Ashley Brown, a 30-year-old stay-at-home mom from Salt Lake City, Utah. As Ashley prepared for surrogacy, the Rohdes also decided to try one more round of IVF to double their odds—assuming deep down that they would have the same failed results.

Two weeks later, Nancy got a positive pregnancy test. But because doctors feared her body might not be able to carry a baby to term, they went ahead with the surrogacy. Five weeks later, Ashley got her own positive pregnancy test.

Despite their fears, Nancy’s pregnancy was indeed viable. Over the next nine months the two women shared weekly updates as they each prepared to welcome the Rohdes’ “twinbling” daughters.

Nancy gave birth to Lillian Quinn, on May 2 in Chicago, Illinois. Her delivery was not without complications; Nancy suffered from a torn placenta, anemia and preeclampsia. Thankfully, a month later she was healthy enough to travel with Justin and Lily to Utah for the delivery of baby number two.

After a difficult labor for Ashley, the Rohdes welcomed Audrey Eleanor on June 7. And, it was love at first sight for the newly minted family of four.

Now, at home in Chicago, the Rohdes can’t wait to tell the sisters their story someday.

“We’re going to be extremely open with [the twinblings] about their unique entry into the world. I mean, it’s going to be obvious something weird happened. They’re five weeks apart,” Nancy told Cosmopolitan.

Watch These Newborn Twins Cuddle; It’s Like They Haven’t Realized They’ve Been Born

We’ve got a baby story that will melt your heart. In the video, published by Jeshal in 2014, you see a set of twins getting their first bath by nurse, Sonia Rochelle. She calls this bath a, “Baby Spa” and it doesn’t involve soap.

In the first two minuets of the video, the babies appear to be snuggling and intertwined, as if they were still inside their mommy’s belly. We all know that twins share a special bond and connection, but this takes it to a whole new level.
