Air fryers continue to be all the rage here in the U.S. So recipes for using one have long since progressed from fries and chicken to more unusual air fryer ideas.
For instance, would you air fry Uncrustables? Yes, the frozen, pre-made sandwich rounds from Smucker’s are being used in air fryers too. The most common Uncrustables are peanut butter and jelly, but people have been sharing videos in which they air fry BBQ Chicken Bite Uncrustables, Nutella Uncrustables and more.
The air fryer leaves Uncrustables with a crisp exterior and a warm and gooey interior. Now, some argue that crisping the outside of an Uncrustable makes it a “crustable,” but we wouldn’t worry about what it’s called as long as it tastes delicious.
To make an air-fried Uncrustable, you don’t have to let the sandwiches defrost before air frying as you would if you were going to eat them normally. Just unwrap and put one frozen sandwich in the air fryer for about 350-400 degrees Fahrenheit and around 5-10 minutes. Cooking times vary by your air fryer so some experimentation will be involved.
