Paul McCartney And Ringo Starr Reunited In The Studio
Naturally, Beatles fans lost their minds.
It’s been decades since they first made music together as part of The Beatles, but Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are back at it, reuniting in the recording studio for the first time in seven years.
McCartney and Starr were joined in the studio by Starr’s brother-in-law, Joe Walsh, of the Eagles. “And look out @joewalshofficial out to play what a day I’m having peace and love. ?✌️????☯?☮,” Starr wrote.
Bruce Sugar, an engineer who has worked on some of Ringo’s albums, also posted a picture of himself with the former Beatles, saying, “Magical day in the studio today with these two.”
In a surprise to no one, fans loved the reunion.

While what they were recording wasn’t mentioned, Starr is currently working on a follow-up to his 2015 album “Postcards From Paradise.” McCartney’s publicist confirmed he was there to contribute to the new record.
The studio time came days after McCartney, Starr and Walsh were spotted with Tom Hanks and Dave Grohl at dinner in Santa Monica, California. (Talk about a collaboration!)
McCartney and Starr last recorded together for Starr’s 2010 “Y Not” album. Since then, they have both recorded new music and performed together at the 2014 Grammy Awards.
Just in case you live under a non-musical rock, McCartney and Starr are the two surviving members of the “Fab Four.” The Beatles remain the best-selling band in all of history, with newer generations still discovering their music more than 50 years after the group’s first release.
The band broke up in 1970, and its two other members, John Lennon and George Harrison, died in 1980 and 2001, respectively.
A release date for Starr’s newest record has not be announced, but we sure hope McCartney and Starr “get back” to recording together again soon!
