Michelob Ultra Has A New Line Of Hard Seltzer
Each can is only 80 calories!
If you’re a fan of hard seltzer, you don’t need me to tell you there are plenty of brands and flavors to choose from. There has been one kind missing from the seemingly endless line-up, however: organic seltzer.
New Michelob Ultra Organic Seltzer is the first national USDA-certified organic hard seltzer on the market to be offered in grocery stores nationwide. With zero carbs, 80 calories and zero sugar, it is also filtered six times to remove impurities. The new drink has 4% alcohol by volume (ABV).
The seltzer will come in three initial flavors — spicy pineapple, peach pear and cucumber lime — beginning in January 2021. This release will be followed by a second variety pack later in the year.
If you’re looking for some different flavors of seltzer, Bud Light also has a new Platinum Seltzer, which comes in three flavors: Citrus, Wild Berry and Blood Orange. While not organic, the seltzer is made with cane sugar, sparkling water, natural fruit flavors and agave and is only 170 calories. It has 8% ABV.
Bud Light’s Platinum Seltzer is available in single cans of 25 ounces and 16 ounces. You can also get them in variety pack six-packs featuring 12-ounce slim cans and as single-flavor six-packs.
You can also find more specific hard seltzer or canned cocktails, including some for vodka, rum and tequila lovers. Vodka fans, keep an eye out for VIDE and Absolut Vodka Sodas. If you like rum, you may want to try these rum cocktails from Bacardi. They come in three flavors, all with 5.9% ABV.
If tequila is more to your liking, check out Mamitas or Volley brands, both of which are made with real tequila. You can also find new Jose Cuervo Playamar Hard Seltzer. It comes in two flavors: Lime, a bubbly take on the traditional margarita, and Grapefruit, a sparkling mimic of the Paloma.
Classic cocktails more your style? Social Club Seltzer from Anheuser-Busch comes in Old Fashioned, Sidecar and Citrus Gimlet flavors.
There is also the brand Cutwater Spirits, which has canned versions of vodka sodas, tequila margaritas, mai tais, bloody marys, rum mint mojitos and even Long Island iced teas.
