McDonald’s Big Mac Now Comes In Three Sizes

Take your pick!

In news I can get behind, McDonald’s has announced that, as of March 11, it is offering two variations on my favorite burger of all time: the Big Mac.

The two new burgers are the Double Big Mac, which comes with a whopping four patties, and the tiny Little Mac, which has just one patty and a dollop of Big Mac Special Sauce. The variations will only be available for a limited time.

In an attempt to stay focused on silver linings, however, I’m going to spend my time fantasizing about how many Little Macs I can have in one sitting without my mom getting all judgy.

The Double Big Mac, which costs $5.49, contains 720 calories and has 43 grams of fat. The Little Mac, meanwhile, which costs $2.29, has 320 calories. Just to compare — even though I am willing to put any number of Big Mac calories into my body — the regular-sized Big Mac has two patties, costs $3.99, and has 540 calories and 30 grams of fat.

Hypebeast points out that a version of the Double Big Mac has existed in Canada for years and, frankly, I am outraged. McDonald’s has also sold variations on the Big Mac in the past. There was the two-patty Grand Mac in 2017, which used larger patties and buns. And in Japan, McDonald’s locations served up the Giga Big Mac, which was almost three times the size of an average Big Mac, as shown here by Instagram user @yokotalife:
