Luke Bryan Breaks A Major Rule For His Biggest Fan
This superfan's dreams just came true.
Country star Luke Bryan recently made a dream come true for one of his biggest fans, 88-year-old Frances Stanaway. Stanaway, who is terminally ill, got the chance to meet Bryan backstage before his concert in Kansas City, Missouri.
The meeting was arranged through the “Gift of a Day” program set up by Crossroads Hospice. Not only did Stanaway get to meet her favorite singer, but she got to do something most fans are banned from doing—give Bryan a friendly slap on the behind, as seen in the photo posted by People Magazine on Twitter below:

Bryan had to enforce the no touching rule after a few too many fans got overzealous when they got face-to-face with the star. In an interview with “Late Late Show” host James Corden, Bryan says that there are “quite a few wandering hands” during meet-and-greets, which has caused him and his team to create a “no touching of the butt” rule. But he made an exception for Stanaway!
For the occasion, Stanaway wore a custom shirt that read, “Shake it for me, Luke,” a nod to his song, “Country Girl (Shake It For Me).” Stanaway was joined by her son, Vincent Sokolaski, and his wife, Linda Sokolaski. Her family says the meeting was a very special experience for her.
“This is probably the most excited she’s been for six to seven months,” Vincent Sokolaski told KSHB.
“She had the time of her life,” her daughter-in-law Linda confirmed.
Since Bryan turned 41 on July 17, Stanaway also brought along a gift for the crooner, consisting of his favorites snacks—Lay’s potato chips and a can of Topsy popcorn.
In addition to being a huge fan of his music, Stanaway thinks Bryan is pretty easy on the eyes too. When asked if she thought the crooner was good looking, she replied, “Oh heavens, yes!”
