Kelly Ripa Broke A Guinness Book World Record On Live TV

Wow! This is impressive!

Our envy of Kelly Ripa’s amazing athletic prowess has just gotten deeper. On Sept. 10, Ripa helped set a world record that required super strength. The “Live with Kelly and Ryan” talk show co-host joined more than 300 ballet dancers in standing en pointe for one full minute, breaking the previous Guinness World Record of 245 dancers!

Professional ballet dancers rehearse for years in order to be able to stand en pointe for long periods of time. Ripa, who is extremely fit and toned, spent part of this year preparing to join the dancers in the record attempt.

The previous world record of 245 dancers was set in Orlando in 2011. The attempt made this week included 306 people in all.
