Kate Middleton Returns From Maternity Leave To Search For Spiders With Little Kids
Welcome back, Kate!
It’s been over five months since Kate Middleton gave birth to Prince Louis and retreated from her official royal duties. Now, the Duchess of Cambridge is officially back from maternity leave and she paid a visit to the Sayers Croft Trust Forest School and Wildlife Garden at Paddington Recreation Ground in London on Oct. 2. She helped schoolchildren there learn about the mental health benefits of experiencing nature.
“She said we were lucky to live near a place like this,” Mirianthe Engomitis told People of Middleton’s appearance. “She was asking if we had been here to see the park’s progress. It was lovely of her to stop.”
In addition to Prince Louis, Middleton is a mother to Prince George, 5, and Princess Charlotte, 3.
During her visit, Middleton sat down with some students from St. Stephen’s School for story time, during which they read “Monkey Queen.” She helped children make leaf crowns, fill their watering bucks, plant seeds and search for spiders — an activity she revealed she frequently does with her own children. She spent around an hour with the children at the event.
