Your Kids Will Love This Free Home Depot Fireboat Craft Workshop On Oct. 6
Mark your calendar!
Along with being the spookiest month of the year, October also holds a more important title: National Fire Safety Month. Home Depot is celebrating the importance of the month with a free hands-on workshop for you and your child.
Just head to your local Home Depot on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to build a model fireboat, just like the real ones that put out shoreline or shipboard fires and transport emergency personnel and rescue workers. Once the fireboat is complete, it can be decorated with paint and stickers and given a fun name.
Your child will get to keep their craft and will receive a free certificate of achievement, workshop apron and a commemorative pin (while supplies last). Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the extra goodies. While the workshop is free, you do have to register to reserve your spot, so be sure to do so soon.
Back to the spooky side of October: While there are currently no other children’s workshops scheduled for October at Home Depot, there are some for adults, including how to make a super cute witch hat door hanger.
For this workshop, you will have to purchase the materials for the project, but a store associate will demonstrate how to measure, cut, stain and decorate the door hanger just in time for Halloween.
Will you be heading to Home Depot this month for a hands-on workshop?
