Are you just itching for a European vacation but can’t make it work for your budget? Well good news. Norwegian Air is planning on selling one-way tickets to Europe as cheap as $69. The plan, laid out by Norwegian Air CEO Bjørn Kjos in an interview, is to start in 2017 and fly from U.S. airports with low fees, and land in destinations like Edinburgh, Scotland and Bergen, Norway.
According to Reuters:
Average prices on such routes are likely to be closer to $300 round trip, Kjos said, compared with many of Norwegian’s fares that run more than $500 today because of higher fees levied by busier airports.
Now Edinburgh and Bergen might not be your ideal locations for a winter jaunt, but they can be absolutely beautiful in the warmer months and you’ve got at least a year before the new service starts. So now’s the time to start planning your inexpensive European getaway!
