Drivers In Florida Had To Deal With Rare Icy Roads After A Massive Hail Storm
This is not something you see everyday!
Drivers in a Florida town had to negotiate with an unusual road hazard on March 27 — ice!
The problem was caused by a massive hail storm that hit the town of Trenton, located about 30 miles west of Gainesville.
The city of Trenton’s Public Safety Department posted pictures of piles of heavy ice on the roads.
Officials were up before sunrise “working hard to clear the worst areas.” One picture shows crews using heavy machinery to move the ice.
The Facebook post of the pictures has already been shared more than 2,200 times in five hours:
