We Tried Doritos New Crunch Nuts And Crunch Mix Snacks And Here’s The Verdict
Wait, Doritos makes nuts now?
Doritos are always a crowd pleaser when it comes to football parties, holiday festivities or pretty much any occasion (hello, sitting on the couch alone, watching Netflix). There’s truly a flavor to suit everyone. I’m a Spicy Sweet Chili girl, myself.
But now, just in time for your holiday parties, everyone’s favorite junk food is getting a couple of new additions to its lineup: Doritos Crunch Nuts and Doritos Crunch Mix.
Yep. This is MAJOR, y’all. Until now, Doritos has never branched into the nut territory. But now that they are, Mr. Peanut better look out!
So let’s take a look at these two new snacks. Will they be favorites or be forgotten like the Doritos Rollitos?
First, there’s the Doritos Crunch Nuts. These are roasted peanuts covered with a Doritos shell. They come in the two classic Doritos flavors: Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch. I admit, it sounds a bit weird. I was hesitant to try it at first… nuts and Doritos, together in one bite? Confounding!
But I’ve trusted Doritos to deliver snacking perfection to me for years, so I decided to give it a go. The result? A pleasant, fun variation on the beloved party chip. The Doritos flavor was there, and it combined perfectly with the crunchy, roasted peanuts. Who would have guessed? Personally, I don’t think these would replace my favorite Doritos chips, but I can see bringing them to the party if I wanted something just a little different.
Next there’s the Doritos Crunch Mix. This snack combo includes Doritos Crunch Nuts, pretzel bites, Doritos puffs, Doritos 3-D triangles and corn sticks. So, basically, if you combined all of your favorite chips into one awesome bag, you would have the Doritos Crunch Mix. This mix would be ideal to serve at a Super Bowl party or a holiday get-together. These also come in Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch flavor.
Along with the taste, I also enjoyed that these new offerings come in handheld cardboard boxes. Perfect for snacking on the go or tossing into your kid’s lunch bag.
You can find these new Doritos styles at convenience stores and grocery stores near you. Happy snacking!
