A Look Inside The New Harry Potter Theme Park In California

The Harry Potter empire continues to grow.  Universal just released a video that gives us a sneak peek of what we can expect at the new Wizarding World at Universal Studios Hollywood.

If you’ve been to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando, it will seem pretty similar. It’s designed to look like the wizarding village of Hogsmeade, including staples like Honeydukes, Dervish and Banges, and Zonko’s Joke Shop. Personally, the best part will be the endless supply of butterbeer which will be available throughout the park.

The Wizarding World plans to open in the spring of 2016.

How To Actually Fold A Fitted Sheet According To Martha Stewart

I don’t know about you, but I’ve never been able to figure out how on earth you fold a fitted sheet.  I typically start off with the best intentions, but it winds up looking like a ball of fabric when I’m done.

And the worst part is that when I grab it out of the closet, it’s covered in wrinkles.  Ughh.

Luckily, Martha to the rescue. In the video above, she explains the best way to fold fitted sheets so it will stay nice and pressed in your linen closet.

Watch Fred Astaire, Frank Sinatra, And Judy Garland Dance Perfectly In Sync To “Uptown Funk”

‘Uptown Funk’ is one catchy song.  There have already been some amazing mashups that have soared in popularity over the past few months.  However, this mashup puts a new twist and pays homage to the classic movies of the 1920s through the 1960s.

It’s perfectly timed to the music and appears as if Fred, Frank, Gene, and Judy had an early recording of ‘Uptown Funk’ so they could layout some awesome dance numbers.

Bonus Tip:  Click the “CC” icon in the bottom right corner and it will show the name of the movie on the screen.

You Will Soon Be Able To Charge Your Phone By Simply Walking

Let’s face it, as much as we love our phones it can be a huge pain to keep them charged.  The good news is that there are some really bright people working to fix this problem.  A new company called SolePower has a unique approach on how to help. They want to take the energy produced through your steps and convert it into electricity that can charge your phone.

SolePower won the Popular Science Invention Award last year by creating an insole that generates power through the force of each foot landing on the ground.  This power can then be used to charge your mobile devices.  Matt Stanton, the founder of SolePower, said the ultimate goal is to help people in developing nations, where electricity is unreliable, produce power allowing them to connect to the world.

The video above helps explain the science behind their insole technology.  It’s interesting that one hour of walking will generate 30 minutes of power for your phone.

The insoles aren’t on the market yet, but you can pre-order now if you want to be the first to try it out.

There’s A New Breed Of Cat That Looks Like A Werewolf And Has A Dog’s Personality

“Are you a cat or dog person?”  That question has endured through the ages. However, thanks to a new breed of cat, that has the gothic look of a werewolf, you may be able to get the best of both worlds.

The new breed of cat is called a Lykoi and is said to have the physical look of a cat while having the personality of a dog.

The Lykoi cats have short shaggy fur that grows lightly on the their faces and ears.  This gives them a very unique and mysterious look. The traits of the Lykoi are thought to have been a natural evolution from the standard short-haired feral cats.

They were initially bred a few years ago when veterinarian John Gobble received a pair of non-related cats with the genetic mutations. The first breed resulted in personalities that were more dog-like, but still had some of level of independence so they can entertain themselves.    Gobble described the personality of the Lykoi cats in a FAQ on his website:

I like to compare the Lykoi to hunting dogs. They are extremely loyal to their owners (slaves), very scent motivated (yes, many cats are…but these guys go almost ‘on point’ when they get a whiff of something!), and very intelligent. They are aware of EVERYTHING going on around them. They can be clingy at times, but generally if you are too busy to snuggle they will take ‘no’ as an answer and will go amuse themselves…as long as they are close enough to keep an eye on you!

Here’s a few comments from some owners:

We have had our two little Wolfies since November 2013, they were both born on August 16, same Dad, different Moms. We fell in love with them on our drive home to Michigan. After their solitary confinement they quickly became friends with our two Sphynx.  Both of them are lap kitties and extremely affectionate. Baxter loves to play catch, he literally catches things you toss at him.  He is a bit too intelligent at times, he figures things out that we would rather he didn’t know!  Lexi has the sweetest little face ever, she is such a sweet girl, but a bit of a troublemaker at times. Then she looks at you with that innocent face, and all is forgiven!! We just love them so much, they have been wonderful additions to our family!

He loves human companionship! Wilbur is always following me around the house and sitting on my lap.  There is never any “alone or private” time for me. LOL!

Let me first start by saying I am a pet mom to not only an amazing Lykoi boy named Fenris, but also to two beautiful Sphynx and a Chihuahua. I say this because even my mind was blown by how very special and different these wolf cats can be!

Unfortunately, these special cats fall under the “designer breed” category and currently cost $2,500.  Hopefully, as they become more popular the supply will increase and ultimately drop the price of these gothically-cute cats.

80-Year-Old Proves Age Doesn’t Matter When It Comes To Shredding On A Guitar

Watching this video is a little reminder to all of us that age can’t hold you back.

This Is What A $31 Million Wedding Looks Like (PHOTOS)

If you thought Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s $12 million wedding was an absurd use of money, then this wedding is going to push you over the edge. According to Forbes, the Chinese actress, singer, and model Angela Yeung was married earlier this month with a ceremony that cost $31 million.

For a reference point, the average American wedding is $26,444 so that makes this wedding over 1,100 times more expensive.  And for another comparison, the royal wedding of William and Kate cost $34 million. So close, yet so far away.

Angela Yeung is considered to be the Kim Kardashian of China but she actually spent almost 3 times more money than her American counterpart.

So how do you spend that much money on a wedding?  They did pre-ceremony pictures in Paris, had custom made gowns (yes that was plural gowns), a 2,000 person guest list, a 1.5 million dollar ring, rose filled rooms, and much more.

According to Forbes, the gown for the ceremony was absurd and featured “115 feet of ivory satin organza, and 165 feet of tulle…a 10-foot-long train, and nearly 100 hand-cut rose bouquets made of Chantilly lace.”

Here are a few pictures of the event:

Guys Hold A Fake Funeral For Their Friend Who Is Always With His New Girlfriend (PHOTOS)

We’ve all been there. You’ve got that one friend (guy or girl) who completely falls off the face of the earth when they start dating that “special” someone.

I guess it’s all part of life. Everyone has their own way of acting when they fall in love and some just want to spend every minute with their new boyfriend or girlfriend.

Here’s the story of Keiran Cable, a 20-year-old from South Wales, who recently fell in love and as a result left his group of friends in the past.  As reported by Daily Mail, Cable met Jess Ferguson about 18 months ago and since that first meeting he’s spent all of his time with his new love.

His friends weren’t liking that he basically vanished and they wanted to do something about it. So being a very creative group, they decided what would be more fitting than giving their buddy Cable a formal funeral.

About 50 of his friends told Cable they were going to watch the rugby world cup. But instead they wore black suits, rented a hearse, and created a coffin for their dear friend.

Best fake funeral ever, well done Keiran Cable

Posted by Ryan Mitchinson on Sunday, October 18, 2015

Cable played along and even jumped in the coffin to officially accept his new fate.

With all the jokes aside, I think this was a clever way to show a friend how much they care about him. And for the record, Kerian’s girlfriend, Jess, insists that he can hang out with he boys whenever he wants.
