People are constantly pushing boundaries in art, and it can be fascinating to see what new things artists come up with. In this trippy video, artist Johannes Stötter created intricate-looking animals by using body paint — on people. At first glance, his work truly looks like photographs of animals, but slowly people begin to remove themselves from formation, revealing that realistic-looking wolf is actually composed of a few different human beings.
It may be hard to believe, but Stötter is a self-taught artist. According to the New York Magazine video, his animal creations can take up to eight hours to put together.
The video has over 83 million views and 2 million shares on Facebook, which shows how unbelievable and gorgeous Stötter’s work is.
