Absolut Is Selling Pre-Mixed Canned Vodka Drinks Just In Time For Summer
Yum! These sound light and refreshing!
I am not ashamed to admit that while I love drinking cocktails, you do not want me to make you one. That is, of course, unless you don’t mind the alcohol-to-mixer ratio being roughly around 9 to 1.
OK, that’s an exaggeration, but let’s just say I would not pass bartending school. If you ask me to make you a drink without a recipe to follow, be prepared to not need another one for the rest of the night. Thankfully (and just in time for summer), however, I may have found a new secret weapon: canned Absolut Vodka Sodas and Absolut Cocktails!
The new soda and cocktails from Absolut are made with original Absolut Vodka and natural flavors and are inspired by classic cocktails. They are available in stores nationwide for around $12.99 for a four-pack of 12-ounce cans, making them around $3 each.
The sodas have only 97 calories and no carbs or sugar. They come in three interesting flavors: Raspberry and Lemongrass, Lime and Cucumber or Grapefruit and Rosemary. The cocktails, on the other hand, have more traditional flavors, coming in Mango Mule, Berry Vodkarita and Grapefruit Paloma.
If these flavors aren’t piquing your interest, Anheuser-Busch also has a brand new, similar drink called Social Club Seltzer. While it’s not exactly the same because it is considered a seltzer, it too comes in cocktail flavors including Old Fashioned, Sidecar and Citrus Gimlet.
The Social Club seltzers have 7% ABV and 150 calories. They are available nationally in variety 12-packs and single-flavor six-packs.
There is also a brand new tequila soda (tequila, soda water and lime) on the market from Cutwater Spirits. Available at retailers now, the 130-calorie drinks have no carbs or sugar and cost $9.99 for four 12-ounce cans.
The new tequila soda joins Cutwater Spirits’ list of 18 other canned cocktails, including a Tiki Rum Mai Tai, Elderflower Vodka Spritz, Spicy Bloody Mary and more.
Would you consider yourself a pro at making cocktails or will you be picking up some of these pre-mixed drinks to have on hand this summer?
